About Adler
Adler's debut album, "No One Else But You," is an indie-acoustic gem filled to the brim with rich melodies, soulful acoustic guitar, lush (and creatively unorthodox) percussion and memorable vocal work.

It has been a long time in the making. In 1993, Matt Adler wanted to learn guitar. By the hand of a power greater than us all, the stars aligned in the cosmos and brought Michael O'Brien into his life (along with 5 year old daughter, Sarah). Who'd have thought that Matt and Sarah will have gotten married 13 years later?

By 2004, the pair had begun writing and performing music together. Due to the frequency of Matt and Sarah's musical collaborations, the two have developed a keen intuition, along with an unparalleled vocal blend.

In the midst of the writing process, they decided they needed an album to promote – something to sell when they played live; something to get people listening to their music. However, they were not about to fit the “hundreds of dollars per hour” bill that normally accompanies professional recording studio time.

Matt had been accumulating studio gear, little by little, for years. When all the album talk rolled around, he figured “why couldn’t I take a shot at it?” And here we are, 5 months later, with a finished product – a box of 100 copies of Adler’s debut album, “No One Else But You,” arrived at Matt and Sarah’s doorstep in March 2009. The results are nothing short of astonishing.

The audio quality of the album is crisp and clear, rivaling commercial releases of the same genre. “I wanted this album to be a cut above the standard independent release,” Matt said, “My hope was that when someone listened to the record, they would not be able to tell that it was not released by some huge record label and backed by thousands of dollars!”

Matt and Sarah Adler handled all of the recorded parts of the album, performing all of the singing as well as playing guitar, dulcimer, djembe, tom-tom drum and mellotron. Percussive elements of the recording were sometimes creatively ad-libbed, with the shaking of a guitar pick case or the scraping of various objects sometimes utilized to create the appropriate rhythmic backdrop for a song. Matt even designed the packaging of the album.

Adler hails from San Antonio, TX and currently plays several live shows a month in their hometown as well as other south TX venues.
